♦ We think that all students enrolled in and attending a school in the Pajaro Valley Unified School District have a right to Music Education during the school day. We believe that Music and the other Arts should be a part of every child's core curriculum.

♦ We believe that qualified teachers and sequential curricula should be recognized as the basis for providing all students with substantive education in Music and the other Arts.

♦ We call upon the PVUSD Board of Trustees to act responsibly: the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, also known as No Child Left Behind, not only identifies Music as a core subject, but also recognizes Music Education as a mandatory component of every public education curriculum in the United States of America.

♦ Under no circumstances should the Music Program be eliminated from PVUSD schools!
