Band members have taken their instruments and talent on special tours far from California’s central coast. They have performed at:

Mexico City, 1979

The Calgary Stampede, Canada, 1982

European tour, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, 1985

South Pacific tour, Auckland, New Zealand, Sydney, Australia , 1988

A second European tour, England, France, Spain, Portugal and Morocco,1992.

The last major Band tour was in July 1996 by special invitation of President Clinton to Washington, D.C. We marched in the National Independence Day Parade and performed a two-hour concert at the White House.

With the enthusiasm of our members, the Watsonville Community Band will continue to reach out to audiences, presenting a variety of music for everyone. It’s our wish to find an opportunity to extend a musical greeting to everyone and encourage musical education.
